Built in 1745 to house the manager of the local whisky distillery. Still Brae (the place by the stream) offers the opportunity to enjoy a unique and quaint house. Situated in the village of Tarbet and 100 metres from the shores of Loch Lomond Still Brae is in the heart of one of Scotland’s most idyllic and sought after locations.

Still Brae sleeps up to five guests and offers a memorable experience.

The lower level has two bedrooms. The master bedroom with double aspect, has a double bed with an en suite bathroom with WC, sink and bath with an over bath shower and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2, also double aspect, is a delightful room featuring 2 single beds. There is a walk in shower room in the adjoining room. A separate WC is across the entrance hall.

Upstairs leads to a bright, airy open plan living space with kitchen, dining and lounge area.

The kitchen is fully equipped including fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer.

The Lounge area has comfortable sofas and chairs and occasional tables. Sky TV, DVD and video player. A wide range of books, board games, videos and DVDs

A flame effect electric fie provides a cosy focus point.

The house has a garden area with picnic table and seats, a small pond and parking for 2 cars. The Tarbet Burn (stream) runs behind the house providing a gentle ‘burble’ to enjoy as you relax in the garden.

For those of you who enjoy more active pursuits a range of water sports can be enjoyed on the loch. Golf, pony trekking and fishing are all available locally. There are many walks including a gentle stroll by the lochside. More adventurous hill walks and climbs abound including Ben Lomond, the Cobbler and numerous ‘Munros’ within easy driving distance , a must for any keen Hillwalker or Climber. The quiet, idyllic and central location of Still Brae benefits from easy road and rail access to enable you to visit many of Scotland’s famous landmarks. Stirling Castle, Glencoe, Oban, and plenty ‘Munro Bagging’ are all within easy reach.

BY BUS There are a number of buses travelling from Glasgow, please check the City Link website for timetables and pickup points, there are buses that travel via Glasgow Airport if required. The following buses stop at the Tarbet Hotel. the 926 to Campbeltown, 976 and 977 to Oban, 914, 915 and 916 to Fort William and Skye.

BY TRAIN The Arrochar and Tarbet train station is 1/2 mile from the property. Please check Scotrail for the timetable.

Partick has plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. Byres Road and Finnieston areas are close by with more choice of eateries.

The property is located within a private courtyard, all windows look out onto the Glasgow Harbour River Clyde Walkway. There is sometimes private car parking available.
